Every year, A&E departments in eastern and coastal Kent see over 170,000 patients. Many of these patients could avoid attending A&E and be treated more quickly by their GP, local pharmacist or even by themselves with basic self care.
Choosing services well means you will get the best treatment and allows busy NHS services to help the people who need them most.
If you’re unsure where to get the treatment that’s right for you - phone before you go. Call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or go to www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk.
