Did you know?
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer affecting young men between the ages of 15 and 35, however it is almost always curable if it is found early.
Always 'check your nuts' and watch out for these symptoms:
-
A painless lump or hardening in either testicle
-
A feeling of heaviness in the scrotum
-
Swelling or enlargement of either testicle
-
An unusual collection of fluid in the scrotum

From puberty onwards, get to know what is normal for you (there are slight differences in everybody). One ball may hang lower than the other and be different in size. The crucial thing is looking for changes.
Don’t panic! These changes can be due to a number of conditions - in fact, as most lumps are harmless, aching testicles are probably nothing serious. But speak to your GP if you do notice any changes, particularly hardening or heaviness, that last for more than a week.
