Breast cancer

Breast cancer isn’t always a lump

Check your breasts every month, know what’s normal for you, and look out for:

  • Any change in the size or shape of a breast

  • Lumps or bumpy areas in your breast or swellings under your arm

  • Dimpling or puckering of the skin

  • Changes to the nipple or discharge

  • A rash on or surrounding the nipple

  • Unusual pain or discomfort in one breast.

These symptoms don’t necessarily mean cancer. But if it is, catching it early
means a better chance of successful treatment.

Tell your GP about any changes.
