The Kent and Medway Area Prescribing Committee first met in November 2002. Its membership comprises representatives from the nine primary care trusts, four acute trusts and two partnership trusts within the Kent and Medway Strategic Health Authority area, plus the Kent Local Medical Committee and Kent Local Pharmaceutical Committee.

Arrangements for the management of High Cost Drugs across Kent and Medway are listed in the High Cost Drug manual. This is a living document and pages will be updated/added/removed as appropriate.
The MM1 form should be used to notify the Primary care trust when initiating treatment with high cost drugs, notification of withdrawal of treatment or transfer to the GP.
