The five yearly revalidation of General Practitioners (GPs) and other doctors is still scheduled to begin in late 2012. NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent is actively keeping up to date with national developments, in order to be in a position to assist GPs on the performers' list to prepare for their own revalidation. Peter Le Feuvre has been appointed as the PCT's responsible officer.
National pilots have taken place, and full details of these, as well as indication of the current proposals are available at:
NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent has recently completed its own local pilot and detailed evaluations of this pilot will be available shortly.
