The east Kent Multidisciplinary Musculoskeletal Service Improvement Group (SIG) has agreed a number of local pathways which reflect the agreed model of care and address issues relating to meeting 18 week RTT targets, equity of service and improved patient experience. The pathways prioritised for publication in the Map of Medicine are:

In January 2007, the east Kent Multidisciplinary Gynaecology Service Improvement Group proposed to shift 18% of gynaecology activity into the community/primary care setting. To support these changes in service, the SIG agreed to review a number of pathways with the engagement of multidisciplinary teams focussing on the issues impacting on the 18 week target and services which could be taken closer to the patient. Building on this initial work, three pathways have been prioritised for publication in the Map of Medicine:
Evaluations, audits and case studies will be used to show concrete benefits and improvements derived from this work. In addition, the team are also working closely with clinicians and commissioners through the speciality service improvement groups on pathways for the following conditions:
