Events

Common mental health disorders GP conference

A half-day conference regarding the planning of care for common mental health disorders will take place at Canterbury Christ Church University on the afternoon of Wednesday 4 July 2012.

The conference will incorporate the introduction of a new tool for GPs, which is being developed in line with the NICE clinical guideline 123 (common mental health disorders - identification and pathways to care).

Keynote speakers will include representatives from NICE and the guideline development group.

Kent and Medway GP staff training team

The GP staff training team (GPSTT) was formed on 1 April 2007 from an amalgamation of the GP staff training personnel from West Kent shared services and East Kent Community Training Alliance (formerly East Kent Education Board).

           

Training is commissioned and provided by the GPSTT from the General Medical Services (GMS) training top slice, for all staff employed in GP surgeries in Kent and Medway.

           

Details of the training is posted on the Kent Local Medical Committee (LMC) website. The details on these pages is regularly updated to reflect current course provision.

          

The GPSTT also manages an e-learning platform for GP practice staff, containing a number of essential courses.
