Interesting facts:
Set up the east Kent respiratory community as a collaborative project with the University of Kent and Glaxo Smith Kline
Worked on the C4 urgent care proposals for COPD through involvement across east Kent, which resulted in healthcare professionals from all levels of care being brought together to review standards.
First year key priorities:
Developing the eastern and coastal Kent respiratory community to start providing and discussing commissioning ideas
Preparing eastern and coastal Kent for the National Clinical Standards on COPD
Ensuring practice nurses receive good quality training to form a major part of the respiratory care workforce
Sleep disorder referrals – how to deal with increased numbers.
