What to do if you have concerns

Practitioner has concerns about a possible safeguarding incident:


Step 1

Is there a possibility a crime has occurred? See flow-chart


Step 2

Discuss with Line Manager and Complete AP1 Form and send to:
Kent Contact and Assessment Service, Kroner House, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, TN24 8XU


Whenever possible, this should be sent via nhs.net to kcassecure@kent.gcsx.gov.uk

 
It is the responsibility of the referrer to clarify outcome for the referral with social services if they have not been contacted within one week.


Step 3

Consider if this constitutes a Serious Incident?


Consult with Organisation Policies on Incident Reporting.


Step 4

The practitioner may be invited to subsequent multi-agency meetings, including planning meetings and Case conferences. They must make the utmost effort to attend, send a suitable representative or to send a report.
