What you need to know

Patient public engagement opportunities

There are various groups that we invite volunteers to sit on,

for example:

           

  • larger consultations about pieces of work in the PCT

  • specific short term pieces of work

  • training, assisting and attending

  • shadowing of staff

  • telephone interviews

  • questionnaires

  • information giving. 


Training

Types of training currently available for Health Matters Reference Group volunteers. If you feel that training would support you in your role as volunteer within the PCT these courses are available to you free of charge.

  • Understanding groups - 2 days

  • Facilitation skills - 1 day

  • Mental health awareness - 1 day

  • Improving your communication skills - 1 day.

Confidentiality

You will be asked to complete and return a confidentiality form before any work will be undertaken.
