This is the second Single Equality Scheme (SES) for NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent. It covers the six key areas of equality – race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion and belief – and replaces our previous Single Equality Scheme.
It is a public document describing how we will meet the duties placed upon us by key equality legislation from 2010 to 2013. The SES has been developed through consultation and involvement with patients, partners, staff and local communities.
